Hikrobot introduces new machine vision products at online event

Aside from cameras and data interface products, Hikvision also introduced laser beam sensors, QR code scanners, a robotic algorithm platform, industrial software catering to machine vision and more.

Hikrobot (海康机器人), an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) and machine vision subsidiary of AI heavyweight Hikvision (海康威视, 002415.SZ), yesterday unveiled a suite of new machine vision products online, showcasing its inroads in areas such as 3D vision and the role it can play to facilitate robotic adoption.

During the online product launch, HikRobot released its new data interface unit calld X over Fiber, which is said to deliver a more smooth user experience.

Based on the new data interface, the Hangzhou-based producer of machine vision equipment also rolled out a 16K color high-speed camera, a 4K 256TDI high-speed camera and a 150 million-pixel high-resolution camera.

High-speed cameras meet demands in the transportation, logistics, automotive, and manufacturing industries, among others.

Hikrobot’s business scope mainly consists of the manufaturing of AMRs and machine vision products.

“We continued to double down on the machine vision business and extend the product line,” said Zhang Wencong, vice president of Hikrobot. “From there, we then constantly build up the ecosystem.”

In 2023, he revealed that Hikrobot will deepen its ties with ecosystem partners and empower a smart digital transformation of every industry, especially manufacturing.

Aside from cameras and data interface products, Hikvision also introduced laser beam sensors, QR code scanners, a robotic algorithm platform, industrial software catering to machine vision and more.

Hikrobot will exhibit its new products to potential global clients at a live-streamed online event scheduled for April 18.

Hikrobot is currently in the middle of seeking an IPO on the Chi-Next board of China’s A-share market, following a divestment from its parent Hikvision.
