Roborock debuts G10S Pure, variant of its best-selling G10S vacuum cleaner

According to third-party statistics, the cumulative sales of G10S reached 264,600 units through online retail channels in 2022, becoming the best-selling robot cleaner in the domestic market.

Roborock (石头科技, 688169.SH), a Chinese maker of robot vacuum cleaners, yesterday unveiled G10S Pure, the updated version of its best-selling G10S model.

According to product previews shared earlier online, the new variant has a stronger suction of 5,500 Pa, compared to 5,100 Pa for G10S.

This enables it to remove dust from under the carpet and gaps between floorboards, or even from hard-to-reach corners of a room.

At the same time, G10S Pure is equipped with Roborock’s latest RR Mason™ 10.0 algorithms, capable of setting up smart no-go zones and virtual walls.

This device also comes with an array of modes to choose from, such as multi-surface floor cleaning or quick cleanup.

Thanks to a facelift in the cleaning cloth, G10S Pure also allows for more reasonable water dispensing than its predecessor.

Meanwhile, the speed of the cleaner’s main brush also increased by 22.5%, making it easier to eliminate dried-on stains that are difficult to scrub off the surface of floors.

What’s more, Roborock also gave G10S Pure an upgraded docking system, with two double rubber side brushes installed on its auto-cleaning module instead of a single brush.

This design enables the cleaner to better dispose of used water and avoid being clogged by entangled dirt.

It also dries the mop and water tank filter to prevent the smell of residual stale water.

Apart from these updates, G10S Pure also inherits several features of its predecessor, including automatic dust collection, automatic refilling and sonic vibration mopping.

According to third-party statistics, the cumulative sales of G10S reached 264,600 units through online retail channels in 2022, becoming the best-selling robot cleaner in the domestic market.

As of press time around 3pm (GMT+8), G10S Pure, starting at 3,999 yuan (US$581), slightly lower than the official starting price of G10S (4,099 yuan), had already secured over 1,100 pre-sale orders on Roborock’s JD.com store.
