Roborock (石头科技, 688169.SH), a leader in robotic vacuum cleaner, launched two new products G20 and P10 yesterday, catering to the premium and mid-tier market for home cleaning.
G20, as Roborock’s flagship model, comes with a high-performance dual-motor module, an upgrade to its design structure.
G20 is equipped with dual roller rubber brushes and has a suction of 6,000 Pa. The two brushes rotate in opposite directions, making it easier to remove trash and hair from edges of rooms or under the carpet.
G20’s main brush also can spin backward and spew out large-sized objects, preventing glitches caused by blockage.
Coupled with motion control algorithms, G20 can identify carpeted floors and autonomously switch to a vacuuming mode only. By lifting the mopping cloth off the floor, it avoids soiling the carpet.
G20 starts at a pre-order price of 4,999 yuan (US$726). Its base station possesses a built-in self-cleaning module, which imitates manual rinsing of cloth.
The 3.5L and 2.9L water tanks also discharge used water themselves. Disposable dust pouch collects dirt on its own and needs to be emptied only six times a year, according to Roborock.
The G20 base station dries and disinfects itself, freeing consumers from this mundane task.
Another new launch P10, which Roborock said stands out for its performance-price ratio, is built for budget-minded consumers.
It shares the RR Mason10.0 system with G20, promising to deliver a smarter and more personalized home cleaning experience.
P10 has a maximum suction of 5,500 Pa. In a sweeping mode, its main brush’s rotation speed increases from 1,000 rpm to 1,100 rpm.
With a full-rubber rotary main brush and dynamic silicone side brush, P10 can clear away trash and dust hidden under the carpet or stuck in floorboard gaps.
After removing dust, P10 shifts to a mopping mode. With a 80ML electric-controlled water tank, it keeps the mopping cloth moist so as to maintain a constant working status.
The cloth, which contains bacteria-killing silver ions, is able to sterilize homes while scrubbing the floor.
P10 carries a 2.7L pouch for the storage of dust and dirt extracted from floors. The pouch fills up in two months, freeing consumers from getting rid of the refuse after every use.
P10 has a pre-sale sticker price of 3,299 yuan.
