Xiaomi debuts robot sweeper 3C Enhanced, starts pre-sale on all channels

As with all IoT devices from Xiaomi, 3C Enhanced can be connected to the Mijia app and controlled remotely. Users away from home are able to issue commands for the robot to work, choose the cleaning mode and upgrade the device via OTA.

Xiaomi launched a new Mijia sweeping robot called 3C Enhanced and began taking pre-orders across the tech giant’s online and offline sales channels yesterday.

The new release, a successor to the 3C model introduced a year ago, has a 5,000Pa suction — the strongest of similar models in the same price bracket.

It carries a sticker price of 1,399 yuan. A deposit of 100 yuan will knock off 300 yuan from the pre-sale price.

According to Xiaomi, Mijia 3C Enhanced is capable of mapping the whole working area with precision on Mijia app, thus planning the optimal working route.

The gadget comes with a laser detection system, which Xiaomi says is a form of better navigation technologies compared to VSLAM (visual simultaneous localization and mapping) and intertial sensor assembly.

Benefits include better positioning accuracy, more precise calculation and higher stability.

As with all IoT devices from Xiaomi, 3C Enhanced can be connected to the Mijia app and controlled remotely. Users away from home are able to issue commands for the robot to work, choose the cleaning mode and upgrade the device via OTA.

When connected with the app, 3C Enhanced interacts with Xiaomi IoT gadgets like e-lock and air purifier, and customizes the cleaning solutions.

With a 5,000Pa suction, 3C Enhanced has three vacuuming modes to choose from, enough to remove dirt, hair, dust and other tiny elements from carpeted and hard floors as well as hard-to-reach edges of a room.

The robot is equipped with a 270ml water tank and a 400ml dust box, which prolong the time between replenishing water and emptying the box.
